Greetings! My name is Tiara Donald, also known as HAZEL of The Hazel Designs. I am an Atlanta native, currently residing in Richmond, VA. As a freelance artist and designer, my goal is to steadily incorporate cultural references, traditional patterns, and contemporary designs into my portfolio across mediums. As a multidisciplinary artist, I believe that the gift of design is limitless. Each project I take on, big or small, tells a story of those it represents. As our love for art grows, I believe it is important to pay homage and be inspired, but also conceptualize original ideas and develop a sense of style. As a female African American artist it is important for me to record the narratives of art culture and its relevance to black culture in the process. Art is becoming a celebrated space, art is becoming interactive and involved, and I believe that the art we create will evolve as our world continues to change.
